I love warm, soft colors. They really compliment my (and a lot of people’s) skintone and they always look fresh. This may be the reason why I’m in love with Catrice’s new Limited Edition: Nymphelia!

Hmm, green mascara? Original, that’s for sure! Not for me, though. I like extreme looks, but I can aso add some green pigment on top of my lashes, to make them look green. The mascara has to be replaced after three months of use anyway, so using a pigment is much easier!

Overall:
Again, as with a lot of Catrice’s Limited Editions, I’m in love! These colors are so warm, soft & beautiful and they really suit me. I really like the packaging as well, especially those lipglosses! I can’t wait to try out these products, I think this will become a popular Limited Edition. What I don’t really understand though, is that some of the products are also being added to Catrice’s standard collection, which makes the term ‘Limited Edition’ a little misleading perhaps.. Oh well, I like the collection anyways!

I can’t dream about snow coming anymore, since it’s now past the Holidays. I’m longing for spring 2012 already! But… Essence keeps the winter spirit coming with their icy new Trend Edition called Crystalliced!

Overall:
I like the packaging of these items, simple but pretty. And the white details really suit the collection, of course! I think this collection will surprise me, as the colors don’t really look very interesting, but I’m very curious about the finishes of all the products!

I love me some bright looks, bright pink or red lipstick and bright eye looks. But what I also love, is a nice, soft and dream-y look. Yay for me, because Catrice’s new limited edition is based on this look. Get ready for Catrice Hidden World!

Overall:
I like this collection, but some products are sooo standard! I’m very curious about the polishes, though :D They could have (and should have!) included a cool multi colored nail polish (Just like Circus Confetti :D ) and I would like some bolder colors, such as yellows, purples, greens and blues! :(

Quickies – Make Your Lips Look Fuller

Again, a new category on my blog! This category is meant for quick tips and tricks that I’ve learned and want to share with you. In this first post, I will explain how you can make your lips look fuller, without using botox ;-)

Lipliner:
Use a lipliner in the color of your lips for a natural look, or a color that is similar to the lipstick that you’re going to wear that day. To make your lips look fuller, you can apply the lipliner a little outside the natural lipline. But don’t go out too much, it will look fake! Just a millimeter or 2 will do.

Lipstick:
Use a lipstick with a lot of color, so your lips stand out more. Reds and hot pinks will look great!

Lipgloss:
Any shine/shimmer will make your lips look fuller, just like a highlighter on your browbone and on your cheekbones. You can also apply it on the middle, so this part comes forward more.

Eyeliner:
Use a shimmering, champagne color eyeliner, such as Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes in Champagne, to draw a line above your cupids bow, so your upper lips look fuller. You can also do this trick with your bottom lips. This really works, especially on photos!
